Benton House of Douglasville

My Dad was a resident of Benton House, including the Beacon memory care unit, for over two years. I sought out the most appropriate facility in the area & Benton House of Douglasville fulfilled & surpassed every requirement on my checklist of must haves. The facility was unbelievingly clean. The food was healthy, nutritious and delicious. The activities were fun, educational & varied ~ something available for everyone. The staff was compassionate, caring, kind, knowledgeable, friendly, etc. It did not take long for them to become family to me. Each person treated my Dad as if he were there Dad, Grandfather and/or favorite uncle. I was kept abreast of everything that was going on with my Dad through phone calls, emails, etc, ~ even photos that are now some of my most treasured memories. When my Dad became ill & passed away, I received the most genuine support, empathy and sympathy from everyone ~ Administration, Nursing, CNA’s, Activity Director, Housekeeping & Food Service alike. I still keep in touch with Benton House staff ~ family always. if I could rate this facility higher than five stars, I would. The care my Dad received far surpassed anything & everything I could have imagined. My loved one was well-cared for & brought me peace knowing he was living out his last years with those who genuinely loved him as I do. I will forever be grateful to this awesome & special facility. Thank you Benton House of Douglasville! You are a major part of my last couple years memories with my Dad. God bless!

My father was a resident at the Douglasville Benton House. We were very impressed with the experience as a whole. The facility was exceptionally well maintained. Very clean, well organized, well lit, and cheerful. The professional level of courtesy, friendliness, and willingness to be of service was absolutely outstanding. Every single person on staff, was always willing to offer help or see to our needs. The director, Shelly, the nurse, Jenny, as well as Alicia, and Jody, were always willing to listen to anything we had to say, and then do their best to get it taken care of. I name these people because they are the main ones we dealt with, but everyone from maintenance to cosmetics, to dining, to food prep and all others, were just as pleasant to deal with. It is rare in todays society to see a company truly focus on customer service, but this company do so with grace and poise. Cudos, Will definitely recommend them at any opportunities in the future. I would not hesitate in the slightest to have any member of my family stay here, because I know that they will be taken care of with caring, compassion, and dignity. Other facilities could learn a few things from Benton House model.

I loved the care given my mother in the memory care area of Benton House. It was so difficult trying to care for her at home and such a relief to have people who were caring and loving to my mom and so helpful to me as well. As long as she was able, there were things for her to do each day as well as a place where she could go outside and enjoy the days. Thank you so much!

My mother has been a resident at the Benton House in Douglasville for 4 months now. Prior to her residency my husband and I had visited a few other facilities in the area. By far this one was the better choice. After several visits and interviews with the Executive Director (Shelly Ealey) I was more at ease. She displayed a genuine concern for all of the patrons and the importance of providing excellent care for each individuals need under her supervision and through her amazing staff. I visit quite often and am well pleased to see and know this is the right place for my Mom.

We are very blessed to have our loved ones in the Benton House. We dealt with in home caregivers that didn’t work out and found out about the memory care unit through internet and scheduled an appointment and feel in love with the facility and staff. Can not imagine our life without all the love and care they give at the Benton House of Douglasville.

The food is one of the best compliments I have for Benton House.
