Benton House is proud to be pet friendly!
We love animals. In fact, several of our communities already have house dogs, and we are planning for more puppies in the future. We call it our Benton Doodle program.
Residents are welcome, and encouraged, to have pets too. There are a few requirements, like a one-time fee. Residents must be able to care for their pet. There are size restrictions—sorry, no elephants. And pets must be community living appropriate and people friendly.
That said, our family already has a variety of cats, dogs, birds, and fish. They are an integral part of the family, and the companionship they provide is a blessing. Most pets do very well within our community and become mascots by default.
An Active Lifestyle
Activity and movement are important at any age. We encourage residents to maintain a healthy lifestyle by providing plenty of activities, events, and social interaction opportunities.
Our community has a full-time social director who oversees the planning and scheduling of fun activities and events, which are available seven days a week. Residents can take part in activities like:
- “Every Day is Special”: Daily events based on unique fun facts for the day
- Happy Hour: Weekly events featuring hot hors d’oeuvres and entertainment
- Special: Monthly themed dinners where residents can spend time with family
- Fitness: Walking clubs, exercise classes, and several other options to remain active
