When I watched the sign go up when they were building the Benton House I knew this was going to be the answer for my aging parents! They visited and were greeted warmly and my Dad has been there for 6yrs now. He feels right at home there!

My Mother was in memory care at the Benton House for 4 years before she passed and I have nothing but wonderful things to say. The staff is compassionate, caring and friendly. This past year has certainly been a challenge, but they didn't skip a beat. Christine, the director kept families informed of all updates, and Sharlene and staff called anytime there was a change in Mom's status. My Dad has been there on the assisted living side the last 18 months and is very well taken care of.Lourdes, Fonda, Jenna, Denise, and Ed are all wonderful and so caring.I would definitely recommend the Benton House in Grayson.

My mother has lived at Benton House of Grayson for almost 4 years. These years have been so good for her—the friends, the activities, the personal care, and the “heart” of the whole place. I’ve gotten to know residents and staff and feel so blessed that they are now part of my life. Many of the staff were here when we first moved her in, which speaks volumes for the working environment and the staff morale. This past year has stretched the limits on everyone, but these caregivers are still smiling and caring. Christine has kept us (the families) connected and informed with frequent emails, phone calls, and pictures. My mother is one of the oldest residents and is now in memory care. The love and respect the caregivers have shown her has kept my heart happy even through this difficult year. Thank you so much, Benton House!! You have my deepest thanks and my highest recommendation!

Our 88 year old uncle is in the memory care section of Benton House. He has been there for approximately a year and a half. From day one of his time there, the staff has been wonderful. The administration is very connected with the residents and hands on.They truly care about the residents and their families. The caregivers do an excellent job of making sure he is happy and safe each day. Our uncle has a good appetite and enjoys his meals so much, they have given him larger portions according to his appetite and eating habits. They are very attentive to each individual and their needs and wants. They have done a fantastic job of managing care and taking care of him during the Covid restrictions. We get reports and photos of him when we haven’t been able to visit in person due to the restrictions. We and he could not be happier with Benton House of Grayson.

I wanted to take the time to commend Christine for doing a great job as Executive Director and leading the staff. Sharlene, Jenna, and Lourdes have also been very helpful in answering questions and helping out with our mom. Christine is not afraid to roll up her sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done. I like the comfort to know that I can call on her at any time, and she is always willing to assist. If she sees an issue that is brought to her attention, she follows up on it and gets back to you with an answer/solution. I realize this is a tough job, especially in these tough times with Covid. My family feels like Christine makes it seem like they are a family, and we look for their support and guidance to give our mom the best possible care. Thanks for all you do and know it is appreciated!!!

I just wanted to give a quick shout out to Christine and her team at the Benton House of Grayson. The last year has been very difficult on everyone. Physically emotionally and spiritually. But the staff at the BH has taken fantastic care of my mother in law. The dedication passion concern and love they have shown over the last 11 months has given my husband a peace of mind that is greatly needed right now. We can not say enough about the staff, the facility and their desire to get everyone through this situation safely. Brighter days are ahead for all parties.

From the moment I walked into the Benton House of Grayson, I felt the loving energy and knew my Mother would be well taken care of. I have not been disappointed. The director is Christine and she runs a great facility. Jenna is in sales and greets you every time you walk in. Everyone is gracious and caring. Denise is at the front desk and coordinates everything. Sharlene is responsible for the medical part and she is on top of all things that come up. I can't say enough nice things and both Mom and I teared up as we moved out today. It's not BH's fault. If they had a Hoyer lift (My Mother can no longer stand or walk) we would be there today. I sure hope the owner's of the company know how great the staff is. And the food is also good. We will miss everyone. Debbie A.

My dad was resistant to any sort of assisted living arrangement and one of his fears was being so far away that we wouldn't visit. I explored and popped in for lunch at several facilities in our area that met our financial expectations and had been referred by members of dad's care team as possibilities. Benton House was the only facility dad visited and he fell in love with the director, the staff, the community, and the facility on the very first visit. Initially, he felt that he was "just going to give it a try" and within just a few weeks, felt this was where he sincerely wanted to be at this point in his life. Dad's diagnosis of Parkinson's bewildered us at first and watching him decline during our year of care of him was disheartening. Since moving into the Benton House in Grayson, his health has drastically improved and we believe this is due in large part to the fact that he is incredibly happy. He has made new friends, eats great food (the new director heard those earlier complaints of less-than-inspired offerings), gets his medicine on time and overall, is thriving in this environment. His doctors are pleased, we're thrilled, and Dad is happy to be a Grayson resident in his apartment at Benton House. As a family, we are relieved, thankful, and just so, so, so blessed to have Christine, Sharlene, and the whole BH staff as our partners in this adventure.

As with many baby-boomers, my wife and I had to face the emotionally laden decision to change my 95-year old widowed Mom's independent living arrangement due to some medical issues. My Mom wanted to stay in the Snellville area to remain near her support system. My wife and I spent two months visiting and reviewing several assisted living communities in Gwinnett, meeting face-to-face (and many phone conversations) with the various staff and developing a spreadsheet comparing the visited communities. From the very beginning of our search Benton House of Grayson, showed us the caring, sensitive, professional, informed, and fun-loving attributes that we were looking for in an environment for my Mom. We moved Mom into Benton House of Grayson in May 2016. Mom realized the necessity of the move, but she was still upset. I can truthfully say that within a couple of months, Mom changed her attitude and started loving her new home. I saw an improvement in her health as well, so that I now tell friends my Mom not only got better but she is thriving! She told us a few weeks back that if we bought her a single-family dwelling now she would refuse to leave Benton House. The apartment is the perfect size for my Mom's current lifestyle providing her with an eating area, living area, bedroom, and a huge bathroom with walk-in shower. Mom can host her game-playing friends in her apartment or any of the sun-lit common areas around the facility. Mom stays busy all day with the many activities planned by the Community Social Director, including daily exercise classes, games, visiting entertainment, outings to stores, restaurants and community events. Many events are planned for family and friends to attend. Our kids and grandkids enjoy visiting with my Mom during these events. My wife and I enjoy visiting my Mom at Benton House at Grayson. From the time we drive up to the nicely landscaped exterior, walk through the welcoming foyer to be greeted warmly and familiarly by the staff, and walk down the decorated hallways to my Mom's apartment, we feel like we are at a resort rather than at an assisted living facility. When we see my Mom's happy face, we know that Benton House was the best choice we ever made.My Mom loves all the staff at Benton House, as she interacts with them daily. The new Executive Director, Christine Sokol, brings a dedication and professionalism to her job that we certainly appreciate as the one in charge of my Mom's care. But she also has a great sense of fun and personal caring, as exhibited by her personally coming to see my Mom in a recent hospital stay and bringing a stuffed bear to wish Mom a speedy recovery. The Social Director, Lourdes Benoit, who works tirelessly to enrich all the resident’s daily lives, has become an adopted daughter to my Mom. She not only plans and executes multiple entertaining activities for all residents but makes time to personally interact with each resident. She cares about each individual, and what they like to do. Jenna Scott, the Marketing Director, does a great job of presenting Benton House to public, but she integrates herself into the life of the residents as well, often finding her serving meals to residents as well as accompanying them on outings. All the staff do what it takes to ensure my Mom has an excellent and healthy life at Benton House. Even the kitchen staff agreed to burn my Mom's toast at breakfast because that is strangely how she loves her toast! This makes my Mom very happy. All I can say is that for several years leading up to our decision to move Mom to Benton House of Grayson, my wife and I had many anxious, sleepless night worrying about my Mom, her health, and her safety. Once Mom moved into Benton House and we became familiar with the care she received, our worries decreased and disappeared. Mom is happier than she has ever been, so are we -- very happy and very pleased with the move to Benton House of Grayson!

My mother is thoroughly enjoying the activities at Benton House

My mother is thoroughly enjoying the activities at Benton House. She is particularly involved in the exercise class in the mornings and the art class taught by one of the residents. Because of the events and activities, she feels she has made good friends and is much more comfortable living in her apartment.
