The Best
After taking care of my mom at home for a couple of years, it became clear that her needs were growing. We toured many facilities and are so happy that Benton House of Port Orange had opened. It was by far the best fit for my mom. She is in the Beacon memory care community has has lots of activities each day and a lot of fun throughout the week. The staff are caring and make her smile each day. BH brings in great live entertainment which she really enjoys and the food is very tasty. Her apartment is very spacious but she hardly spends any time in it as she prefers to be in the great room to watch and participate in activities. We are so glad we choose BH as my mom is well taken care of and loves everyone there.

This is a 5 Star assisted living facility. The building is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The entire staff is so very friendly that you immediately feel at home. There is such a warm feeling there that stands out more than any other facility I have ever seen. Most of all is the activity coordinator , Carolyn, who is very active and keeps everyone feeling alive and happy.

When I first walked into Benton House, I was amazed at the lovely decor and the friendly staff that gave me a very warmth feeling being there. The person in charge of the activities, named Carolyn, was exceptionally good at what she does to entertain the residents there. Her activities were very well accepted and fun for everyone there. The dinning room was outstanding beautiful and very clean.I will encourage anyone I come in contact with that is looking for a place to live to take a look at Benton House first.

I give the Benton House 5 stars for sure!! Ever time I have been there I have noticed the care and love they show to their residence, they treat them just like family. If you have a loved one and concerned about the quality of care. The Benton House is the location to be in. I highly recommend.

What a lovely facility. Always clean, friendly and you can tell that they really care for their residents who seem happy and well adjusted. Well managed. Efficient. I go there once a month with others from my church to provide music…a hymn sing. The residents love it.

My Dad was the first male resident when Benton House opened five years ago. He just celebrated his 98th birthday and could not be happier. He is thriving because of the excellent care he receives. They treat us all like family.

We moved mom into Benton House from another local ALF that she has resided in for a couple of years simply because BH was located closer to our home. We also liked that the facility was fairly new and well cared for. Now, that mom has been a resident for over a year and a half, we learned that the most important thing is the facility staff. The BH staff, top to bottom, really works and cares for their residents. Many activities are planned for exercise, special events and music. The staff provides nice meals in a positive atmosphere. I have recommended the facility to others when the topic arises. They have two pianos, nice outdoor seating areas, and a covered entrance.

My mother has been at the Benton House for just under a year. From the moment I walked into the facility to the present day, I have nothing to express but gratitude to the Benton House staff. The Benton House has more than exceeded my expectations. The safety and well-being of my mom are paramount in my life and in my family’s life. The administration and staff have resolved all issues with expediency, competency, and friendliness. The loving environment is like going to visit grandma. Moving a loved one into the Benton house is like finding a family away from family when they are not with you. The Benton House is truly a blessing in my life, in my mom’s life, and in the life of my family. It is a blessing for which I give thanks every day.

After touring a number of highly recommended ALFs in the area, my mother chose the Benton House Port Orange because the cheerful and well-appointed atmosphere felt like visiting “Grandma’s House.” Mom adjusted very well thanks to the kindness of the residents and staff. The Benton House staff members help my mom with bathing, dressing, cleaning, laundry, reminding her about meals and activities, administering medications, monitoring her health, and ensuring her safety. To a person, the staff members are genuinely caring individuals whose top priority is my Mom's safety and happiness. We visit Mom several times a week and the staff keep us informed of any issues Mom is having. Mom is happy living at the the Benton House and we no longer have to worry about Mom living on her own. We are very pleased with her care.

My wife has worked for Benton House for almost 15 years & loves what she does! She comes home most evenings sharing stories & pictures of fun things that made her smile. I have volunteered a few times to help with their big events & each time I witness a bunch of smiling faces & people living a happy life! Pretty amazing place to say the least!

One of the best places I have ever worked. The executive director Jennifer Brewer provides everything that is needed for the job. All management willing to help or answer questions. Training was great and every day I have lots of fun working with the staff and the residents.

Wonderful place to work, and live! When you love what you do it sure doesn’t feel like working at all. Proud to be part of a community that invests so deeply into people by providing ongoing education, and growth opportunities. This has been a blessing for my mom, she loves everything about it. She especially loves Carolyn the activities director, she works so hard to make sure all the residents are happy and have fun things to do throughout the day!

We helped my older brother move in to Benton House last September. It has been so good for him. Everyone is so caring….from the front office, to each care giver, and even the maintenance man, people at BH really do care and are so helpful.We have no fear for his safety. He is taken care of every day. We couldn’t be happier. The Perfect Choice!!!

Benton House has been such a blessing for Mom and our family. I moved Mom from another ALF to be closer to me. The difference in the individualized attention given to the residents and the responsiveness of staff to questions is an immense improvement to what we were used to. Mom had a recent health scare that was caught by the caring staff at Benton House and she had to spend 3 weeks out of the community. Staff reached out to me and rehab during this time and helped with her transition back into the community with the necessary modifications she needed. I feel comforted knowing Mom is in such good hands!

Benton House is a beautiful community, the staff is wonderful, patient and helpful! The activity director is very encouraging and creative and keeps the residents engaged. They also offer a memory care with adult day services. The residents are like a family and all seem very pleased and well taken care of!

We took the Jeeps over to the house for the residents to come see them! The staff was excellent with the residents making sure they got out of the house. They all joked and had a good time together. The staff cares about their residents and the residents seems to care about their staff!

Love feeling Mom is safe and taken care of. Easier transition than I expected.Really like that the Benton house is one floor and smaller so you can get used to seeing familiar faces. While I live far away I enjoy going back and saying mom and taking her out is kicking her out when able. She has a wonderful larger room with a great view and enjoys all the activities and friendliness of the staff.

My mother did not want to leave her home, but had to have 24 hour care after an illness. Her first words when we were moving her in were "how do I get out of here". We told her if she improved to the point that she didn't need 24 hour care, we would give notice and she could go back o her house. As she improved, she found that she was starting to meet people, had good meals prepared and social functions were available. She found that she enjoyed the staff and having help available 24 hours a day. She feels safe and loved at this facility and we feel secure that she is being well taken care of.

I cannot say enough about Benton House in Port Orange! The staff are attentive and friendly. The food was great . They were wonderful in helping my momma ( who was very strong willed, independent and struggled with having to accept assistance) transition from independent living to assisted living. The staff managed the pandemic well and tried to make every day count. At the very end- Jennifer, Carolyn and really all of the staff checked on her ( and the family) constantly to ensure that we were all taken care of. ( Including bedside visits with Cristy ( facility companion dog))They treated her like family from day one.Thank you for taking care of my momma!!!Regards.Missey O’Brien

As a therapist working in this building with the staff and residents hands-down this is the best facility in all my years of working. The communication and follow through between staff and our home health company goes above and beyond expectations. I would recommend and have recommended this facility for those in need of an assisted living.

Benton House of Port Orange is the best of the best. The outside building is bright, beautiful, homey, and well manicured and the exterior building matches the inside. Your loved one is sure to be made to feel right at home and receive the best care and have the most fun. The staff is loving, kind and passionate about what they do and you can tell that they all love what they do and work so hard to entertain and care for their residents in their community. 🧡

My sister has been a resident almost from the beginning of Port Orange Benton House opening and I, ' Thank God', everyday, for helping me to find this place. My sister has moderate dementia but is able to live in her own room and be 'independent '. She is happy and well cared for and entertained. The management and staff are amazing. So kind, helpful and caring.'.

For the most part the senior living facilities in the area are satisfactory but it is the extra details and the added effort from the Benton Team that make my Aunt's stay a very pleasant experience and a higher level of peace of mind for us.

My mother-in-law lives in the memory care facility at Benton House. Whenever we visit I marvel at the dedication and professionalism of the staff. No matter what the circumstances, they are always kind, upbeat and respectful with the residents.We often visit unannounced, and my wife’s mother is always clean, neatly dressed and had her hair done when we arrive.They also have regular events for the residents, weekly happy hours, a super bowl party, pizza parties etc. and often they bring in musical entertainment, which my mother-in-law loves.In short, we are very happy with the level of care she receives at Benton House.

I cannot believe how every single person at The Benton House, has so much LOVE and CARE for their residents! I Love participating in special events, parties and even something as simple as baking with my loved one 😍. We were so fortunate to have found The Benton House for my Uncle! We looked at so many different options and thankfully came across this amazing, what I call, family! Everyone has so much patience and caring for their residents...it’s truly UNBELIEVABLE! No matter what time we go to visit, take part in events or just share a cup of coffee...it’s ALWAYS the best experience! You leave there knowing your loved one is in the ABSOLUTE BEST CARE POSSIBLE😍

This Assisted Living facility has a very warm and family like atmosphere. The staff is not only beautifully trained, but they respond to situations with an attitude of quiet, "happy to help"... "nothing is a bother" and "we're here to help" when we can.Benton House is a new facility, bright and cheerful, kept very clean. and even has fresh flowers on the dining tables. The staff makes it possible for the residents to mingle, get to know one another and interact if they choose,I can recommend Benton House in Port Orange without reservation.

My dad is a resident here and I couldn’t be happier with our choice. Benton House’s philosophy is “it’s the residents home and the employees are there to support them and give any needed assistance”. The facility is brand new, clean and Beautifil. The employees are wonderful and treat the residents like family and the food is delicious! The nurses on site are wonderful and caring. The doctors that come weekly are extremely thorough and I have complete confidence that my dad is in good hands. The activities and entertainment are second to none! I have not seen the amount or caliber of live entertainment in any other facility. There’s always something to do, including a Happy Hour every week with live music. The Benton House Bus” is always ready to go - whether it’s a shopping trip, doctors appointment, lunch, picnic at the beach, mystery rides, museums, the library and so many other adventures. If you’re looking for a wonderful assisted living facility you will find it at The Benton House of Port Orange!

Everyone at Benton House is extremely friendly and welcoming. The activities director is top notch and sets the perfect atmosphere to get the residents to participate in the many and varied activities. It’s the perfect size for staff to truly get to know the residents. My mother-in-law always mentions how hard everyone there works. They are very accommodating when it comes to mom-in-law’s needs and great at keeping us informed (they even send pictures of her at different events). We highly recommend Benton House, Port Orange!

We moved my mom to Memory care at The Benton House just after they opened a few months ago. My brother and my sister and I feel so Blessed to have found this amazing home for her. The staff is caring and friendly and we always feel welcome on our daily visits. The new chef prepares delicious meals and the activities director always has something fun going on for the Residents. I try to join my mom for Thurs. happy hour and music because it's so fun to see the joy that music brings my mom and so many others. The Benton House family gifted me a spa experience when I was going through a stressful time. How amazing is that? Thank You for all you do!!!!

I love working here!! I am new in the area and so blessed to be a part of Benton House Port Orange. Hands down to all the staffs, very approachable, always ready to help, very welcoming and warm! Our residents are the best! They always have a smile on their faces and very appreciative even with the little efforts we do! My heart is full 💕💕🌷

From the first day at Open House, to deciding on which room to select, and to the actual day of moving: the Professional staff made the transition as easy as possible and the experience as though my Mother was just moving to a new home. The activity's director had her challenges getting my 95 year old Mother involved in daily activities, but she accomplished it in less than two days. I have only high praise for the staff and facility.
