How Does Benton House Pricing Work?
Benton House pricing is designed as a simple monthly rental. This means that services such as dining and housekeeping, utilities such as power and gas, and care expenses such as emergency response pendants or available personal assistance, are included in the monthly bill.
However, residents do have options with pricing including apartment size, style and location and importantly, in the level of assisted living services they want or need. This allows Benton House to fit a variety of budgets and for residents to pay only for services they want or need.

Do You Accept Medicaid/Do I Qualify for Medicaid?
Many people mistakenly assume that all senior housing is paid for by Medicaid and that all seniors qualify for Medicaid. In fact, most senior housing is paid for from private funds or other financing sources and Medicaid has very strict guidelines on eligibility.
Please contact us if you have questions about eligibility or if you would like assistance sorting through your personal options.
How Do Benton House Costs Compare to Other Options?
Benton House offers wonderful value in relationship to other options. In fact, many families are surprised at the value Benton House offers in relationship to what it would cost to provide the same level of services in the home.
Skilled care (nursing homes) can cost more than twice as much as Benton House so it is important to ensure you or your loved one really needs the ongoing skilled medical services they provide. If not, we believe most people would prefer the more residential setting, independent lifestyle and lesser costs of our community.
Benton House also compares very favorably to bringing care into the home. Depending on the level of needs and the hours of service required, private attendant (sitter) costs can run into the thousands of dollars a month very quickly. And this doesn't consider the level of oversight required or contingency plans needed if a private attendant doesn't arrive as scheduled.
Finally, while some cost savings can be obtained by having family and friends provide support, many families are now comparing hard costs such as lost wages and benefits, and soft costs such as stress and burnout, when assessing this option. When these variables are considered many families come to the conclusion that everyone's needs, most importantly the senior loved one, are better met at Benton House.
